Give Gather Grow: A Farm to Feast Fundraiser
Join the NWI Food Council in our work to help family farms thrive and feed our communities nourishing, local food at our inaugural Gather Give Grow fundraiser! Gather, Give, Grow will be a celebration of local agriculture, community spirit, and the importance of supporting those who feed us. Enjoy an evening fawning over our local farmers, celebrating council program accomplishments, and sharing stories over food with a purpose.
What to Expect:
Learn more about the local food system and NWI Food Council programs,
Offering of locally sourced and curated cheese tasting, small bites, and a multi-course meal prepared by local chefs,
Regional farmer showcase,
Networking and discussion of community-based action,
Silent auction, and
Live entertainment!

“We’re excited to celebrate our accomplishments with our partners and the community this November. We started in 2015 with a volunteer board committed to grassroots change to our local food supply, and now we’ve launched a local food hub, a farmer apprenticeship program, food as medicine programs, and farm to school work in a few short years. Gather, Give, Grow will be a celebration of our story, as well as the stories of our partners and communities we work with- without ‘whom none of this would be possible.”

“We’re 99% grant-funded and are looking to support our community programs with more sustained funding as we work toward building a brick-and-mortar food hub and community farm. Our dream is a permanent home, where we are able to grow the capacity of Region Roots Local Food Hub, build spaces for entrepreneurs and education, provide outdoor spaces for a community farm and foraging, and be a hub of community connection and innovation.”
