Latinx Farmer Listening Session

About 15 migrant farmworkers attended our Latinx Farmer Listening Session in partnership with FamilyFarmed, Proteus and the Pax Center.  We learned a great deal about the barriers to quality of life, farm aspirations and food access for migrant workers.

Update

Because of what the council learned at this workshop, over 600 farms-to-families food boxes were distributed to migrant workers in NWI during the winter months 2020-2021. FamilyFarmed and the NWI Food Council are developing programming based on the listening session findings to support migrant farmworker quality of life beginning later this year.
